Nioh 2 – where to find the best pre-order prices and bonus content

While not quite a household name just yet, Nioh 2 is still shaping up to be rather special. Developed by Team Ninja, most famous for the Ninja Gaiden series, the original Nioh was a breath of fresh air when it was released in 2017. Continuing the theme is the prequel, Nioh 2, set in the 1500s and involving some rather impressive Dark Souls style gameplay with even more stylish combat. Set for release rather soon, we’ve summoned up everywhere you can pre-order a copy of the game for the best price.

It’s a fairly straightforward choice in the US, but in the UK, the choice is a bit more varied. A lot of your decision will come down to knowing what pre-order extras you want, whether you want to plump for a special edition, or you’re fine to just go with the cheapest price. Hopefully, we’ll help you reach this decision quickly.

Nioh 2 release date

Nioh 2 will release on the PlayStation 4 on 13th March 2020.

A standard edition is widely available, while there’s also a Special Edition for those that want a few extras to their game. It’s only available at one retailer, though. That’s Game.

Some other retailers are also offering up pre-order bonus items to tempt you, but these may cost you more than just the basic game.

In the US, there’s a straight-up choice between the standard edition or the special edition. Don’t count on any pre-order bonuses or any discounts.

Nioh 2 pre-order best price

Nioh 2 has an RRP of £49.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US.

In the US, there aren’t really any discounts to find. All the major retailers like Amazon, BestBuy and Target are sticking with the RRP. Similarly, when it comes to the special edition, it’s the standard price of $79.99. In the UK though, there are some small price cuts depending on where you go, and what you want.

The best price in the UK is currently ShopTo which has Nioh 2 for £44.95. These include in-game extras like a Demon Horde armour set and Sudama Netsuke charm, as well as a PS4 theme and avatar set. We reckon the two in-game items could be pretty useful. The game is set to be quite challenging so you’ll need all the help you can get. The Game Collection is £1 more, but that doesn’t come with any pre-order bonuses.

In the US, Nioh 2 is available across the board at its RRP for $59.99. Don’t expect to find it for a bargain anywhere right now, but we’ll keep an eye on if that changes before release.

Nioh 2 Special Edition pre-order best price

a look where to pre-order the nioh 2 special edition

If you prefer physical items with your pre-order bonuses then Game is the best bet. It has an exclusive Nioh 2 Special Edition which means the game comes with a steelbook case, an ‘Art of Nioh 2’ book so you can check out all the marvellous visuals, plus the all-important Nioh 2 season pass which should be useful further down the line when DLC becomes available. It costs £69.99 and, obviously, don’t expect any discounts anywhere as this is a Game exclusive.

Want the special edition in the US? You’re in luck! The Nioh 2 Special Edition isn’t exclusive to one retailer in the US. You can buy it at Amazon, BestBuy and Target. The downside is that there’s no discount anywhere. The Special Edition will cost you $79.99 for the artbook, steelbook and season pass.

That’s about it for the best Nioh 2 pre-order offers right now, but we’ll be sure to update these pages if any new and better offers emerge before the game comes out in March.
