Black Widow Disney Plus release date
The film is being released on Disney+ via Premier Access on 9th July 2021 so you can watch the latest Marvel movie straight from the comfort of your sofa. If you’re not fussed about streaming it right away, it’ll be available for all Disney Plus subscribers on 6th October 2021.
Black Widow cast
Directed by Cate Shortland, the latest Marvel film sees Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Black Widow, alongside an awesome cast including Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as the Alexei/The Red Guardian, O-T Fagbenle as the mysterious character Rick Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.
Reportedly, there could be cameo appearances from Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and maybe even Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. However, we’re not sure if these will just be flashbacks from previous Marvel films or newly recorded scenes.
What is the Black Widow movie about?
It’s set just after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The Disney Plus description reads: ‘Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises.
‘Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger’.
How to watch Black Widow on Disney Plus
You’ll need a Disney Plus subscription, which starts from £7.99 per month or £79.99 for a 12-month annual plan (this works out 16 percent cheaper than paying monthly), and it’ll cost an additional £19.99 to stream Black Widow with Premier Access. This one-time payment allows you to watch this movie as many times as you like (as long as you’re still a Disney Plus subscriber) – which works out far cheaper than purchasing individual cinema tickets for the whole family.
In addition to Black Widow, July 2021 will see the addition of the Jungle Cruise movie on Disney Plus and the final Loki episode. The streaming service is the one-stop destination for movies, series and shorts from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more. This includes the latest Marvel offerings such as Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Wandavision.
