In the mood for some old-school style shoot em up action? That’s where the latest Doom title, Doom Eternal, should help you out a ton. Offering the same kind of traditional experience as past Doom games, albeit with new weapons, new enemies, and the need for some new strategies, it’s sure to be a literal blast for many. Set for release very soon, we’ve tracked down all the best places to slam down a Doom Eternal pre-order for the best price.

There are plenty of different options to choose from when purchasing Doom Eternal, including special pre-order bonuses, a Deluxe Edition, and a huge premium Collector’s Edition. We’ve got all the details you need to know about where to go and what to expect to pay.

Doom Eternal release date

Doom Eternal is out on March 20th 2020. It’s coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’ll also be released for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020.

A standard edition is widely available, and there’s also a Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s edition for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, depending on your budget. Bear in mind that the Collector’s Edition is only available from one retailer in the UK though – that’s Game.

Other retailers are also offering Doom Eternal pre-order bonus items and Game has another exclusive up its sleeve there too when it comes to enticing you into a purchase. You may need to forego these in exchange for a lower price for the base game, though.

Doom Eternal pre-order best price

Doom Eternal has an RRP of £49.99 in the UK regardless of which system you buy it for. In the US, its RRP is $59.99.

The best price in the UK is currently ShopTo, where you can place a Doom Eternal pre-order for £39.95 on console and for £36.85 on PC.

For the price, you get the game as well as a Doom 64 digital download code, a bonus campaign master level, Throwback Shotgun weapon skin and Doot Revenant skin too. Those pre-order bonuses are standard for anywhere you buy the base game, so it’s worthwhile going with The Game Collection to save your pennies.

In the US, your best option is to go with Amazon while they’ve taken $10 off the recommended price. Best Buy and Target have stuck with the RRP, but you do have the option of using the reward scheme with the former to get $10 back. You also get a steelbook bundled in.

If you want even more content with your copy of Doom Eternal, there’s the Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition. Its RRP is £79.99 and retailers are mostly sticking to that.

For the price, you get the base game, pre-order bonus DLC, along with an extra Demonic Slayer skin, classic weapons sound pack, and most importantly, a year one pass for the first two DLC packs that will be released for the game.

Both Amazon and Game are going with the RRP for the Deluxe Edition regardless of your system preference. If you’re looking for a PC copy though, ShopTo is a bargain with the PC Deluxe Edition retailing at £59.85.

When it comes to the Deluxe Edition in the US, your only options are Amazon, Best Buy or Target at $89.99. But, again, there’s a steelbook with the Best Buy offer.

a closer look at the doom eternal collector's edition

Keen to go all-in with Doom Eternal and fancy the Doom Eternal Collector’s Edition? It’s a Game exclusive in the UK and it’s not cheap at £199.99 but you get a lot of stuff. The wearable helmet is worth that price, right? In the US it’s priced at $199.99 but looks to be out of stock at all retailers. We’ll keep an eye out to see if it’s available again soo.

What’s in it anyway, you ask? Deep breath time and here we go!

You get the game, the pre-order bonus DLC, season pass for year one, demonic slayer skin, and classic weapons sound pack. You also get a The Gift of Argent Power 11 x 17 lithograph, a steelbook, lossless digital soundtracks of Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, a lore book by ID software with some great artwork contained within and…wait for this…a wearable Doom Slayer helmet. Seriously. A helmet you can wear for whatever purpose you feel like using it for. We’re not judging.

Doom Eternal pre-order bonuses

The cheapest price in the UK for Doom Eternal is The Game Collection, but how about if you want extra bonuses thrown in?

Buy Doom Eternal at Amazon for £49.99 and you get the pre-order bonuses from The Game Collection along with an exclusive steel poster. We’re not sure if the poster alone is worth an extra £7 but it’s an option.

Alternatively, Game bundles in an exclusive steelbook with its Doom Eternal pre-order. Again, it’s priced at £49.99 so the steelbook works out at £7 or so.

That’s about it for the best Doom Eternal pre-order offers so far, but we’ll update these pages if any new and better offers emerge before the game comes out on March 20th.
