Ghost of Tsushima pre-order best price – where to buy the Collector’s Edition

Ghost of Tsushima is among the last of Sony’s first-party exclusives for the PS4 that’s set to round off a very strong showing for this console generation of cinematic story-driven single-player games. Here’s our look at some of the best Ghost of Tsushima pre-order prices and where you can find the Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition if you’re excited for Sucker Punch’s latest.

It’s been a long wait since it was originally announced in 2017, but it also finds itself in good company as the likes of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Nioh have since given the video game samurai its long-awaited comeback. Now, finally confirmed for release this year on the PlayStation Blog, we’ve put together where you can place a Ghost of Tsushima pre-order for the best price. Generally, first-party PS4 games aren’t usually much cheaper but there are also a couple of editions that offer some fancy extras should you want them.

Ghost of Tsushima pre-order best price

Ghost of Tsushima has an RRP of £49.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US.

That’s pretty much the case wherever you’ll look in the US. Don’t expect to find much of a difference in the UK either, as Sony’s first-party titles don’t generally budge, though you can save a few quid from a couple of places.

Right now, the cheapest Ghost of Tsushima pre-order price for the standard edition is £44.95 at The Game Collection. The versions from Game and Amazon UK cost a little more but do come with some extras such as custom artwork, a digital soundtrack or dynamic PS4 themes.

Ghost of Tsushima Special Edition pre-order best price

Ghost of Tsushima special edition is priced at £69.99 in the UK and $69.99 in the US.

Physically, you’re just going to get the game in a steelbook case. However, you will also receive a voucher for digital rewards, which include an in-game Hero of Tsushima mask and sword skin, Charm of Hachiman’s Favor, one technique point, a digital mini art book, and a Director’s Commentary. In the latter, the creative team sit down with a renowned Japanese historian to look at the world of Ghost of Tsushima and how it compares to the real-life events that inspired it.

Given that most of the rewards are digital, you could also opt to pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition via the PSN Store as it works out cheaper at £64.99. There is a slight difference with in-game rewards, though. You’ll still have the Charm of Hachiman’s Favor and one technique point, but you’ll also get a Hero of Tsushima skin set, which provides an additional in-game horse, saddle, mask, sword and armour set for Jin. It also unlocks an additional Samurai PS4 dynamic theme. The digital mini artbook and Director’s Commentary are also included.

Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition pre-order best price

For those who want something extra special, there’s the Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition. It’s available to pre-order exclusively from GAME in the UK for £159.99. The retail price in the US is $169.99, although none of the major retailers are currently taking pre-orders as the first wave of stock has sold out. We’ll keep an eye out to see if it comes back soon.

That’s a hefty price tag, about three times the value of the game itself, but the items included are pretty enticing. The main draw is a replica mask of one worn in the game. It’s made from polyresin, though, and is meant purely for display.

There’s also a 4.5 feet sashimono (war banner), a traditional-style furoshiki (wrapping cloth), a physical 48-page mini art book by Dark Horse and an artistic rendition of the game’s world map printed on cloth. This also comes with a steelbook case and a voucher for all of the digital rewards from the Digital Deluxe Edition.

And that about covers everything for you. If you can afford it, you won’t want to miss out on that Collector’s Edition as it is very limited. But while you wait for its release on 26th June, you could always brush up your samurai skills with Nioh 2.
